Meet Our August Students of the Month: Chloe & Savannah
At Busy Kids Do Piano, I often hear the question: “Is your program just for little kids?” The answer is a resounding no! While many families join us when their children are just beginning their musical journey, Busy Kids Do Piano continues to support students as they grow—musically and developmentally. In fact, some of our most committed and accomplished pianists are now in their teens!
That’s why I’m so excited to introduce you to our August Students of the Month: Chloe and Savannah. Both girls are 14 years old and have been learning with Busy Kids Do Piano for over five years. Piano for 6 kids? See how this homeschool crew does it!
It’s time for October’s Member of the Month. I love to share with you about families who are a part of the Busy Kids Do Piano program. I feature families of all shapes and sizes and families who are using the program for various reasons. My hope is that eventually, you’d recognize your family’s unique needs in these stories and see how you too could benefit from the BKDP program.
Today, we’re meeting an amazing homeschooling family from New York where all SIX of the kids are learning piano through BKDP. Garrett (17), Lillian (14), Amalia, (12), Landon (10), Maeve (8), and Felicity (5) have only been a part of BKDP for a few months, but they are accessing the lessons several times a week and making the most of it! Lexi’s Experience with Busy Kids Do Piano: Flexible and Fun
We are featuring an awesome Busy Kids student, Lexi, today! Let me tell you ALL the cool things about Lexi.
She has been playing piano for around 5 years, previously taking lessons at her school. But she’s finding that Busy Kids Do Piano is extra helpful to her progress. Lexi’s mom says, “We love how it is in a video format which allows us to watch and repeat a lesson whenever we want. We like that flexibility to adjust the lessons to our schedules and holiday plans.”
YEP, this is why we’ve developed BKDP – to make music learning a more convenient enrichment to your student’s life.

April 2024 Members of the Month
Allow me to introduce you to our April Members of the Month, siblings Rosie (13) and Henry (11). This pair has a built-in, captive audience of 5 brothers and sisters who get to enjoy all of their practice and performances. Isn’t that cool?
The family has been a part of Busy Kids Do Piano for over 2 years, the kids attend school at home, and as part of their music curriculum, they engage with the BKDP lessons and activities several times a week.
February 2024 Members of the Month
Allow me to introduce you to our February Members of the Month, siblings Izzy (13), Abe (10), and Noah (8). The family has been a part of Busy Kids Do Piano for over 1 year, and the kids attend school at home. BKDP has been made a part of their family learning routine as they access the materials once a week.
When asked what she loves most about Busy Kids Do Piano, mom Megan states, “I love the fact that it is very affordable, and I can use it for all my children. I also love the fact that it grows with my children, and I can do it from home and fit the practices into our day.” Megan, you’re speaking to one of our main goals with the program…that it works for a wide range of ages and abilities and can grow with your students. He has been a part of BKDP for over 1 year and attends school at home. William works through the BKDP online materials several times a week. This kind of commitment is the way to learn an instrument! August Members of the Month
Allow me to introduce you to our August Members of the Month, the Brander family. They have been a part of Busy Kids Do Piano for over 1 year, and have two boys in the program, Dominic (11) and Allen (8).
The boys attend school at home and access the BKDP online materials several times a week. We love the enthusiasm and commitment, boys!
Melissa, mom to the boys, took 8 years of piano lessons as a young person and has spent some time in music programs through church. She says the boys initially started taking piano lessons from their “Oma” (grandmother) but were unable to continue after she moved onto a boat!
Melissa shares, “Playing piano is important to me so that [the kids] have a solid understanding of music. Additionally, I think that learning to play an instrument brings a lot of brain benefits for people of all ages! We really like the practice challenges to help keep them motivated.”
