Meet the Latorre-Caceres Family!  Ivan (dad) and Diana (mom) and their two sons Ivan (5.5 years old) and Jayden ( 3.5 years old)  from Sydney, Australia! They are a music loving family who are using Busy Kids Do Piano to bring piano into their home.

Q: What is your musical background?

Our family’s music background is Colombian music.

Q: Anything fun or unique you’d like to share about your family?

We all love music, my husband has a band where he sings Colombian traditional music. My son Ivan dances in a group that performs to Colombian traditional music.

Q: How do you structure piano lessons/practice for your family? Any tips to share?

We do two sessions per week with the guidance of Miss Carly and my son Ivan practices 10 min in the morning before he goes to school.IMG_4282

Q: How did you learn about Busy Moms/Kids Do Piano

I was looking for an effective way to enroll my boys into  piano lessons. I have found they are very expensive and that I’d have to travel long distances for it. As a busy mum, as all of us are, I was looking for something affordable and more convenient for my circumstances. It was then, I saw an ad for Busy Moms and Kids Do Piano.  I contacted Miss Carly and she answered my questions and here we are!!!

Q: Do you have any stories you’d like to share about your musical journey with piano lessons?

My little one, Jayden, is in love with Miss Carly, he asks for her every single day!! My eldest, Ivan,  has shown himself to be a bit anxious. I emailed Miss Carly and she gave me some suggestions and I have applied them. He is doing much better now.

Q: What is your goal with having your child learn to play the piano?

The main goal is to enjoy music and the if the opportunity comes, they can use the learnings from piano and apply that to other instruments in our traditional music.

Many thanks to the Latorre-Caceres family for taking the time to share their story with our community!
